DMCA / Copyright Policy
Craft & System · Last updated June 2026
Craft & System (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”) respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects the same from people who use our website and software. This policy explains how to report claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and how to respond if your material was removed by mistake.
Our copyright
The Author's Blueprint and our website — including their software, design, text, and documentation — are the copyrighted property of the Company. Please don't copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials except as your license expressly permits. (The manuscripts you write in the app are a different matter entirely: those are yours, and we make no claim to them.)
Filing a takedown notice
If you believe material connected with our Services infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send a written notice to our designated contact (below) that includes all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Please note that under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
Counter-notice
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated contact that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your judicial district (or, if you are outside the United States, the courts of the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material as the DMCA allows, unless the original complainant files a court action first.
Repeat infringers
We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts and licenses of users who are repeat infringers.
